Communications Intern

(Part-time minimum 4h/week or full time – work from home/private office)

culture Solutions is looking for a part-time or full-time Communication intern who will support the Communications team in the implementation of our communication and digital strategies. The collaborator will work on a pro-bono basis, or (preferably) benefit from an Erasmus+ Traineeship arrangement. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Strategy development: Assist in developing and improving the communication and digital strategies of cS to increase the overall visibility of the association and its projects
  • Digital communication:
    • Grow the cS social media followers community (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram)
    • Design, publish and promote social media content and initiatives (e.g. campaigns, contests) for brand awareness and engagement
    • Manage social media content planning, in coordination with other teams (Research, Fundraising, Training and Know-How Sharing)
    • Develop other audiovisual content, such as infographics or videos
  • Outreach:
    • Graphic design: Contribute to the design of presentations, publications and other graphic materials
    • Public relations: Assist in populating cS contact databases
    • Internal communication: Advise on internal communication and ensure that it is fluid and optimal
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the Communications team to organise the repartition of the workload
  • Extra: The intern can also express interest in newsletter management, podcast publishing, website editing, SEO, social media and website audience monitoring, as well as get involved in the activities of other teams (Research, Fundraising, Training and Know-How Sharing)

 

Profile 

  • Passion for communication and especially digital communication; relevant education or experience is desirable
  • Interest in and knowledge of cultural affairs and European affairs 
  • Excellent collaboration, written communication and organisational skills 
  • Experience using Canva, Photoshop and/or Indesign; other editing tools are a plus (e.g. WordPress, video and podcast editing) 
  • High-level command of English; fluency in French is desirable, other languages are an asset

Erasmus+ Traineeship 

Erasmus+ supports traineeships abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions at Bachelor and Master level as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates. 

A Learning Agreement is signed between culture Solutions and the sending Academic Institution. A monthly funding of approximately €550 (full-time basis) is provided to the trainee, as well as linguistic support. The traineeship should last between 2 and 12 months, and can be curricular, voluntary or post laureatum (within 1 year from graduation).

Business Development and Fundraising Intern

(Full-time or part-time – work from home/private office)

culture Solutions (cS) team is looking for a full-time or part-time Business Development and Fundraising intern, who will contribute to implementing the fundraising and business development strategy and work plan, by delivering fundraising products and thus increasing funding opportunities for culture Solutions core activities. The collaborator will work on a pro-bono basis, or (preferably) benefit from an Erasmus+ Traineeship arrangement. 

 

Main responsibilities (under the supervision of the General Coordinator)

  • Contribute in maintaining, updating and developing core fundraising intelligence database, in synergy with the Communications team
  • Contribute to the delivery of the business development and fundraising work plan 

 

Specific Tasks

  • Identify funding streams and channels of information (website, platforms, newsletters) relevant to cS activities
  • Background research on potential partners and donors, and then update a database of potential partners per area/topic 
  • Background research and information to fill-in culture Solutions’ external events calendar: gathering events dates, getting information on planning calendars and other foreseen events organised by partners
  • Support the work of the Research & Podcast team by sourcing and sharing funding opportunities 
  • Maintaining and updating cS marketing documents and products
  • Timely screen, source information and opportunities (calls for proposals, tenders, projects, events) and share them with the concerned cS team 
  • Follow up on calls for proposals/tenders 
  • Update and maintain fundraising intelligence database
  • Organise, update and maintain the cS stakeholders’ contact database
  • Contribute to the drafting of project proposals together with the members of other teams concerned 

 

Profile 

  • Interest/knowledge in cultural affairs and European affairs, including functioning of cultural organisations and EU institutions 
  • Experience/interest in fundraising would be an advantage
  • High level command of English and French; knowledge of any other EU language is a plus
  • Experience in organising and managing databases (desirable)
  • Strong written communication skills

Bilingual Web editor (French-English)

On a pro-bono basis, culture Solutions team is looking for a part-time web editor to take care of our website (and webpages) .

culture Solutions is currently entering a new phase as it is looking for new collaborations and funding. Hence, it is possible that occasional paid services might be required next year. It is also possible that, eventually, some pro bono vacancies might be replaced by paid ones in 2021.

 

We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • Passionate about website management
  • Proven experience in website edition (being familiar with WordPress is mandatory) and content production (Canva)
  • Interest in cultural and European affairs;
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Strong translation skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Autonomous, even remotely (working from home)
  • Eager to face new challenges and to meet our dynamic team

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Translating the content of our English website into French
  • Developing the French version of the website
  • Keeping our pages updated with new content
  • Creating content
  • Monitoring our page

 

Coordination:

The successful applicant will, among other things:

  • Take part in the weekly meetings of the communications team
  • Under the supervision of the Board and of the communications team’s coordinator, he/she will demonstrate proactivity and autonomous delivery capacity regarding the maintenance and regular updating of our website
  • Liaise with cS graphic designer to ensure graphic guidelines are applied

culture Solutions is a not-for-profit organization, thus presently all our collaborators are contributing on a pro-bono basis, which also means that monetary remuneration should not be expected. However, we offer the opportunity of a new and unique professional experience where the successful applicants will gain knowledge and competencies on the subjects of the organization.
